Krestin has pierced ears.  There are gold rings  in both lobes, and his right ear has golden studs along the edge.  These become  smaller as they come closer to the tip, and stop an inch or so beneath it.  The safest riches are the ones you keep on your person.  ...Not that it keeps your person especially safe, but what's life without a little danger?
