Born and raised in Stromgarde, Lancelia's parents wanted nothing but the best for their only child. When the city began to crumble during the Third War, her parents sent her to Stormwind for priestess training, fearing for their daughter's safety and future. Her father eventually died during one of the Defias raids, but she often returns to Arathi to visit her mother.
At first, Lancelia seemed like a good fit for priesthood. It became apparent, however, that her tomboyish nature and incredible physical resilience better matched the call of a fighter. She eventually became a squire and served beneath Volrin Borin, an ex-Knight of the Silver Hand who relocated to Stormwind after the fall of Lordaeron. He was a strict and difficult teacher, but Lancelia worked hard and endured the training.
Now that she is a full-fledged paladin, Lancelia is eager to explore and learn about the many different races of Azeroth. There is still some old-school stuck in her brain thanks to her training--she hates most of the Horde races and she sometimes has a black-and-white sense of what is right and wrong. She is, however, open-minded about the other races of the Alliance, especially the Gilneans who recently arrived from the north. She also holds a particular fascination with the Scarlet Crusade, although this interest is entirely academic.
