The fourth, and youngest, daughter of a minor lord who only wanted a son to carry on his name. She is known to her father as his "fourth failure" and was sent away to live in a convent to the church of the holy light.
It’s been well over a week since I found him. I’m not too sure how long, but it has been quite a while.
None of the other’s have come by to help or see him. It’s just me and the blue girl. I could expect it of the lady, but I would have thought he was somewhat friends with the others. With Josie, though, I can almost understand why she was not here. It doesn't help that I haven't really tried to hard to let them know.
Nora felt the moon come out as much as she saw it through the clouds. She had been waiting all day for this moment. Over the last few weeks she had finally found the means to control the change. It was still difficult, but she had learned how. It was easier at night for her to call upon her other half. The moon relaxed her, and seemed to awaken the wolf within.
Nora stood under the shade of a large oak and watched the brothers bicker with each other. She was beginning to be at ease around them. Twice a week now she would come out here with them. She would gather herbs and they would find things to do to occupy themselves. At first their brother, Leymon, would accompany the group of them. Now it was a rotation of who was with her. She felt a bit odd about it, but in truth she was happy to get out of the house.
The elf shut the door to her room. She was still uncomfortable around him. She didn’t look him in the face the entire time she was with him. He was cordial enough. He walked her to the inn and paid the innkeeper for a few days of rent. Then showed her to her room.
She awoke the next morning as if it had all been a dream. Nora had become the wolf, and the sensation of the change, and what she felt when in that form was beyond a feeling she had ever experienced. She longed for it again, but had no idea how to bring about the change.
She looked around the room. Marjolaine had tried to make her comfortable the night before, it appeared. There were several blankets on her, and there was a pillow on the ground with her.
She finished her task of cleaning the privy. The other girls in the convent always tasked her with this. They shunned her so because of her heritage. Yes, she was the daughter of a lord. But she was the youngest of four with his first wife. She was the fourth failure he called her. Lord Hightown wanted a son to continue on his family name. He also desired to not pay for yet another dowry, and no logical prospects to raise his standing via a political union, so young Lorinora was sent to the cathedral to take her vows at the age of ten.
