Mahryna is, to put it simply, a bit frumpy for an elf. A small amount of extra weight seems to stick to her, thanks to the occasional (or more frequent) sweets binge. Her hair is a deep, curly black, and falls down to her waist. It's typically somewhat messy, perhaps even tangly. Several pieces are cut sloppily, framing her slightly rounded face and hiding her ears. A pair of well-worn glasses sit in front of her largish green eyes. Her hands are always covered by a rather ugly pair of black gloves. Likewise she always wears a very pouch-laden belt. No visible jewelry. Her voice is soft, almost child-like... and yet housing a very jaded, adult tone at the same time. She typically smells faintly of peaches... which insufficiently masks a more overwhelming scent of medicine. She typically looks very, very irritated.
Her past does not often come up in conversation, a fact that suits her just fine. When it does, she tends to work herself out of the discussion. What is known is that she has an estranged twin brother, and that she usually refers to her parents in the past tense. Beyond that, she often refers to Lucine Alda'raai, who was her teacher and employer for many years. She is now the owner of Lucine's home, though where that is she won't say.
Personality: Typically she's quiet, subdued, with a tendency to keep to herself. She is known, however, for possessing a very volatile temper, which can come out at any given moment. When angered, she tends to be much louder, with violent tendencies. She could never actually be described as 'nice', however. Even when calm, she does her best to be unpleasant. She usually speaks in what she perceives to be a very formal tone.
I. Am. Not. Naive!
Journal, I spent a week out in the field, and since my return I am finding myself wishing I had never come back. Even this house overwhelms me at times. I am not saying that I did not miss my pets, or my books, or Gwendolyne. Certainly not that. But ever since I got back things have been awful.
