The elf before you stands tall, tanned and muscular. There are no apparent scars, piercing, or other abnormalities marring his face (save for a certain goatee he refuses to get rid of. It's a "part of him", he says. Hah!), arms, or other usually visible areas on his skin. Should he be running around shirtless , a small, black-inked tattoo of a phoenix can be seen across his left shoulder blade. His hair has finally been cut for what feels like the first time in his life. Its length falls just over his shoulders save for the front, in which he has styled his bangs slightly longer. Additionally, his hair has been layered in an effort to allow him to brush back the shorter portions of it, so that it may resemble a falcon's feathers somewhat.
Sometimes, though, just sometimes, Riaevis can't help but tie his hair back into its big, unruly, fluffy ponytail he is so accustomed to. Just sometimes.
Riaevis is a frustrated, cabin fever-ridden guy.
He hadn't expected their last encounter to be their last encounter. It never was. Sometimes, Analeil was emotional, either in sad or very angry variety, but more regardless of her state she would always vow that the two of them would never speak to nor see one another again. That in itself was a lie, as they split their time with Eiliha up, but she never failed to find some sort of excuse to come around again. Riaevis had come to expect, nay, perhaps anticipate the next time the two would cross paths.
If any unsavory types were lurking about that evening, he would have been the easiest target for whatever their pleasure.
Analeil has Eilie for the week. This means that I had to see Analeil, face-to-face, when she was at least somewhat sober. So after she picked her up, I did what I thought was best. I fucking went out.
Riaevis found his journal. Still playing catch-up with his entries.
The page is stained and wrinkled, as if something was spilled on it and then left out to dry. The penmanship is terrible, almost completely illegible.

Pamina’s right. My instincts have been right. I’ve known it the whole time. And yet I keep opening my door to that vapid bitch. Every damn time. EVERY. DAMN. TIME.
Ari’s cute. For a kid. It feels weird writing that. She’s still a kid technically but she’s not. She’s seen more than most of the adults that I know and gone through more than them, probably me included.
