World RP Locales!

Ignoring the fact that the entire planet is hurtling towards destruction and a cosmetic overhaul, one of my favorite things to do is take note of the various nooks and crannies of Azeroth, for their RP potential. While the capital cities do retain that go-to-for-random-encounters appeal, there are a number of great, atmospheric locations all through the world for an arranged meetup. And what I'd like to do here is get people to help compile a list together of their favorite easter egg locations they've found in-game for other players to check out. I wouldn't necessarily rule out locations that are populated by mobs - for instance Raven Hill Cemetary has a great network of Catacombs I think are really interesting, but you do have to be able to clear out some mid/upper 20s.

Any possible suggestions on practical use is always appreciated as well! And, uh, please, no location that's technically a violation of rules to get to, etc. No need for anyone to get banned in the name of RP.

I'll start with a couple I like!

Zeramas

In Zul'Drak, Scourge Necropoli.... Necropolise... Necropoliziiiii floating fortresses abound. Most are enemy minefields, but one, Zeramas, is unoccupied. No mobs, no quests, nothing. Just an empty necropolis in the middle o' nowhere with some spooky Scourge-esque artifacts left over.

The spot seems like a great place for gathering Death Knights or those interested in Scourge-related RP, etc. Perhaps one could even suspend disbelief for the environment and use it as an imaginary "wing" of Acherus, other than the sections shown in game.

Keep in mind, there is no portal up to Zeramas; you do need a flier trained for Northrend to get up unless you have a Warlock to help. Amusingly, as well - there is a portal down to the ground, which is populated with mid-70s mobs.

North/South Gate Outposts

Located in Dun Morogh (the Dwarven starting zone) are two outposts that guards the border to Loch Modan. A few Dwarven NPCs dot the area, but I believe both of the actual buildings are unoccupied, but set with numerous items like tables, chairs, and beds.

Most likely an ideal spot for Dwarves, especially those who operate in a military capacity, I've often had ideas about trying to put together a World PvP effort to defend against an assault.

Shrine of the Fallen Warrior

A game tribute to a real-life member of the Blizzard team who died during the development of the initial WoW, on a hill in the Barrens is the body of an Orc Warrior watched over by a Spirit Healer.

Located Southwest of the Crossroads, this is a great spot that people rarely have occasion to visit. I personally think it would be a great place for a Horde tribute to fallen comrades, a storytelling night themed around battle, etc.

The Badlands Crypt

Doesn't really tie in to any in-game lore but rather a tribute to Conan, from my understanding. But still, a fun place to go! In the Badlands, going up an obscured hill will eventually bring you to a staircase which leads down into the tomb of an armored skeleton seated upon a throne. Beyond general explorer-type characters I can't think of much practical use for this spot, but I love coming by it every now and again.

And ohhh I'm proud to be a Gilnean, where at least I know I'm trapped behind an oppressive barrier concealing our hor-... free.

Dark, evil rituals!

Same with the Altar of Storms, and the demonic altar in the Netherlands southwest
