Not long ago I recustomized Antonias' old warlockself (Athelyna for those who remember 'her') since Anton's given up 'lockery for permanent. The result was an import of a character I love but never got enough time to play; Laeton Drakehallow. He's an older man, from Hillsbrad originally, with a burning grudge against the Forsaken and a lack of reasons not to fill them full of felfire.
He also calls his felhunter his dog. I wouldn't argue with him, honestly, it's not worth it.
So like...netherdrakes. In less than the span of a single human lifetime, a bunch of black dragons suddenly out of nowhere... boom, sharkbats. This always seemed a little weird to me; I mean... sure, the nether can mutate the hell out of stuff but that seems -awfully- abrupt to me, especially for a whole bloodline of giant pseudo-reptiles. Anyway, I was tossing around ideas about 'interstitial forms'... somewhere between old-world drakes and sharkbats, showing the transition period from one to the next. Also these guys must seriously breed like rabbits, but whatever.
I plan to do some color versions of this to try and integrate the traditional orange and black with the luminous netherdrake technicolors.
Your art is so lovely! The crest and your dragon in particular caught my eye but I just love it all. :) You're so talented! I hope you keep posting more!
