Ven's a pretty generic design I think, but I was just so goddamned excited to be able to make a grotty looking belf with gray skin that I didn't think too much about him being a lil' bit too... tropey I guess. So he's not really a special snowflake. :P His poetry is pretty shit too. *shifty eyes*
EXACTLY. I spent the last two hours going through other people's art threads and being essentially mind-blown. Its SO cool to see so many varied styles. I think if you threw together a bunch of sketches from everyone on the forums, you'd know pretty much without askin' who had drawn what.
It wasn't safe to go alone. :3

Also, I have discovered that I CAN actually ink digitally thanks to a new tablet that isn't seven years old and banged into pieces which I then taped back together with...tape. :D So I drew a Rhys for Berkelley.

Also, I COLOURED IT. (You don't understand, I don't colour things. Especially not digitally. I am no photoshop hero.) Which I think worked out pretty okay. :D

Haha...now that I look at it, I think my former profs would tell me I was being 'scared of colour' again. :S The next one will have more contrast, honest. I WILL NOT FEAR SHADOWS! Or highlights even! :D
Because I need some more examples of stuff I can call conbadges (doing the con thing again starting next month), if anyone DOES wanna toss $15 bucks my way I can whip 'em up a portraity-busty-type thing similar to Rhys the fabulous. :)
