A random worgen I drew back when the alpha models were released (hence the weird hair-do). For whatever reason, this is the most popular image on my devart. I suspect furries have something to do with it.

I remember your art from wranet 1.0. I always thought it was super slick and super cute. Really good to see you around again.
Oh Gosh Ves! Your art is really lovely -- especially the armor/clothing on the colored pieces. But also the mostly grayscale headshots of the first two -- the lines are fantastic, they're sort of sketchy in a way that gives the portraits character and life. I really like how clean your style is, which might not be the exact word I want to use... hmmm.. how open your faces are?
ALSO THAT TAUREN DK. IS. FANTASTIC. And you should totally play her with icicles and all because its a really unique little design trait and looks delightful.

I love armor and weapons and stuff, and that last picture of yours I really like. The armor looks warcrafty but in a more realistic way! Also sidenote: Your paladin looks a little like velma from scooby doo, without glasses. It just hit me because I was sitting here staring at the picture wondering why is looked kind of familiar!

Okay, I figured out what your art reminds me of - Tetsuya Nomura. AND IF YOU DON'T KNOW WHO THAT IS, THAT'S COOL. Basically I'm just saying the way you draw portraits is god damned professional quality and I weep at the feet of your talent to draw such fantastic faces always.

Haha, I made her look particularly cranky in that portrait. Usually, she has a kind of "whatever" expression. I think scars tell a lot about a character--where they're located, who and what they're from... interesting stuff. And thanks for the compliments! 8D
Ha! Years and years of practice. +_+ And I still have much to learn! I try to practice faces a lot because it's (arguably) the most expressive part of the body. And re: your other comment about Lance looking like Velma... what can I say, I have a soft spot for cute, freckled girls with short haircuts. /sagenod
It's interesting you say that, because I can totally see the Nomura comparison, at least in terms of how we draw faces/figures. I'm not a fan of his more recent concepts (ZIPPERS AND BELTS ERRYWHERE) but I thought he did some amazing work with FF7 in-particular. I'm very flattered by the compliment all the same. XD (I kind of grew up with his artwork, so that's probably why our stuff looks similar without it being intentional. THANKS, NOMURA!)
Slightly off-topic, but I got to meet Amano when he visited my campus. He's really soft-spoken and strangely adorable in the way artistic elderly Japanese men are.
