Fliers with blocky red text in handwriting which could be improved upon are posted on notice boards across Stormwind and Ironforge. Each has a small note attached. This week's note reads:
"The Alliance Medical Association asks all healers and the medically-minded to join us on April 20th at seven (7) in the evening in Ironforge's Hall of Explorers. A presentation by Dr. Ellister Thorley on bedside manner, which was previously rescheduled, will be given on this day. Knowing you all, I recommend attendance."
(( OOC information! The Alliance Medical Association is sponsored by <Shiftless Lot> and is a bi-monthly event for all Alliance players whose characters are healers, doctors, surgeons and so-on. Meetings are held every other Friday, with the next meeting held on April 20th, 7pm server time in Ironforge. If you have any questions about the event, please feel free to whisper Skrimps in-game, or send me (Skrimps) a message here on WraNet. There's a probability that I'll be advertising the event on the Official Realm Forums, but I haven't gotten around to it just yet. Feel free to discuss this with guilds or friends.
The purpose of the event is to bring characters with a similar passion together and explore everyone's unique methods and styles. There will be organized meet-and-greets as well as hypothetical patient treatment and method discussions. If you don't know anyone who might be attending, don't be afraid to come anyway! I've got plans to include as many people as possible and allow many players to contribute discussion and allow their characters to find other characters with similar and opposite ideals in the crowd. You only have to take the bait!
We do ask that you come willing to cooperate on an OOC level. This doesn't mean that you have to contribute when someone gives you a hook if you don't feel comfortable contributing. You aren't required to have any special addons or items. It does, however, mean we ask that you respect the event organizers and the IC staff's actions, as well as the enjoyment of the other attendees. IC debate is more than welcome, but remember that IC actions have IC consequences!
We do form a raid for this event so that we can all amuse ourselves OOC as well, though if you'd rather not join to avoid the chatbox clutter that's more than fine! If you want an invitation to the raid and have not gotten one by the time the meeting starts, whisper Skrimps in-game!
