Can you barely cast a Fireball? Are you afraid of Polymorphing YOURSELF? Is your conjured food unfit to feed a decapitated Cockroach? If you answered "yes" to any of those questions, then you are clearly a terrible Mage!
Want to fix that? Want to get your life back on track? Want to rest assured that you'll never be turned into a sheep, penguin, or pig by your own hands again?
Then join D.S.M.A., where we teach you magic, so you don't die trying!
Formed on the basis that too many deaths were owed to inexperienced magi trying to cast magic much above their heads, Dark's School for Magical Advancement strives to prevent, or at least lessen, the impact of that spell you think you can cast. Whether it's teaching you how to create a portal without getting sucked into the Nether, ward yourself before decimating that city block, or freeze your target without freezing yourself, you'll learn everything you need to know at D.S.M.A.!
D.S.M.A. is a heavy RP guild located on Horde/Wyrmrest Accord. We rely on comedy mixed with an ever-so-faint touch of serious when needed; A sense of humor is absolutely required!
Premise: D.S.M.A. is a group of magi and other spellcasters set on being as powerful as they can be through any means available. Whether that's searching out ancient recipes to summon ancient conjured food monsters, or just picking a fight for spell practice, the members of D.S.M.A. are always up to something damn crazy!
Organization: D.S.M.A. has a simple system for governance, which is broken into the divisions of in-character and out-of-character.
OOCly, D.S.M.A. Currently has it’s leadership split between Vellectras and Ezian. Vellectras has the position of headmaster, which is the ultimate position both ICly and OOCly. Ezian is currently the only officer, who would have most of the same powers as the Headmaster OOCly, but still below him ICly.
ICly, D.S.M.A. retains it leadership and ranks, though the system is very loose. A new recruit can challenge the Headmaster, and everyone is given the same rights. While the leader and officers still handle promotions and demotions, all members possess the same basic rights.
Recruitment: Any member that has the rank to do it, which if officer or above, can add a member to the guild. No one may be promoted past Spell Fodder rank until the Initiation Test is passed.
The Initiation Test is a rite of passage for any and all new members of D.S.M.A. This test is just a small task to assess the abilities of a new recruit; Any member ranked above Spell Fodder may give it. The test may range from something overly simple to a difficult task, though the people giving the test will know what is proper. Once you pass the Initiation, congratulations! You're a full-fledged member of D.S.M.A., and your life has meaning!
Activity: D.S.M.A. will remove any character who is offline for 15 days or more.
Rules: D.S.M.A. follows very simple rules.
1. Don't discriminate. You'll get kicked so fast, you won't have time to type another slur.
2. Be nice. IC, you can be as cruel as you want; OOC, be nice.
3. Don't start drama. Whipping out the double parentheses has very little use.
D.S.M.A. is a guild filled with insanity and a lot of fun, though the distinction between IC and OOC is integrally important. That distinction has to be made at all times, ESPECIALLY in D.S.M.A. Many of our characters are insane. Many of our characters are violent. That does not mean we are. Thank you, and have fun in D.S.M.A.!
