Character Biography

Physical Appearance

Bashkarr stands 7' 4", about two hands shorter than the average Tauren. He wears his hair short for his kind, preferring no long braids to dangle, snag on things, or be grabbed by aggressors. He has two silver loops in each ear, one on his right adorned with a single hawk feather. He has a few chinks taken out of his left ear. He has a very short goatee. His hide is light colored, patched with bold rust-colored spots along his back and arms. He has light blue eyes, which can be described as 'hard.' He has only a few scars here and there, preferring ranged combat to getting the crap beat out of him.

History

Bashkarr was never what his parents expected him to be. His father was a proud warrior, his mother a druid in service of the Cenarion Circle. It was hoped he would follow either path; Bashkarr enjoyed learning the way of the sword, and showed an early affinity for speaking with the natural world. However, he disliked the company of others, finding few friends in his more bullish peers. He spent much time alone, lost in thought on quiet walks through the foothills. It wasn't long before he found himself before Yaw Sharpmane, begging to learn the ways of the hunter.
He set off on his own once he had come of age, and circumstance led him to Orgimmar. He was immediately in awe of the giant battle worgs in the Warchief's stable, and set out to prove himself worthy of the beasts' respect. His honorary surname, 'Wolfbrother,' was given to him the day his war wolf bonded to him.
His service under the Warchief's flag has taken him to Northrend, where he has been serving on the front lines in the assault on Icecrown Citadel.

Personality

Bashkarr is painfully shy, and although he is fiercely loyal to those who call him 'friend,' he is slow to let someone close to him. This shyness may cause him to come across as gruff, stubborn, or disinterested. He can be cynical, at times even critical, but holds his tongue unless required to speak, favoring keeping the peace for the better of all. He is much the 'strong, silent' type outwardly, though the long travels have scarred him deeper than any may ever see, and his stony face hides a young soul that bleeds slowly from the horrors he has been witness to.
