Drakelis
Character Biography
- Physical Appearance
The dark tauren before you flicks a forked, black tongue repeatedly. His overlarge eyes are like two embers glowering beneath his hood. Both have corrupted slit pupils with cracked veins coursing through them. His fur is shaggy and unkept.
His hands end in sharp, black claws. Underneath his robes and armor, Something, or some things... squirm and writhe.
The Tauren's voice is gravely, as if choked or mangled from injury, with a hissing inflection.
Beneath his sleeves is a faint, barely noticeable glow. If visible, his right arm, has red, blue, and white lines that look like cracks running along it.

=Year -40 Early Years=
The Venomblood Clan of the Windshear Crag loses clan war against the Grimtotem and pledges fealty to them. The Apophan's elder brother negotiates the allegiance after his father is killed in the final confrontation. The Apophan's mother begins to infuse the young tauren in the cult of conflict and the arts of vengeance. Over the following years, the youthful Apophan grows in alchemical and poisonous skill.=Year -12 A Change=
The Apophan's mother dies under odd circumstances in her sleep. Shortly thereafter, the Apophan's elder brother dies out on the hunt. The Venomblood Clan falls into disarray, the Apophan's birthname vanishes from Venomblood or Grimotem record.=Year -11 Odd Curiosity=
A Grimtotem hunting raid vanishes. Scouts track the deaths to a nearby cavern, however the more experienced hunters pull back at the last moment.=Year 2 Deaths in the Mountains=
The entire Venomblood Clan is mysteriously killed in what was assumed by Grimtotem as a Harpy raid. A veteran scout remembers the claw marks on the bodies from a strange murder 13 years previously.=Year 10 A New Path=
The Apophan grows further in power. He becomes convinced that the shamanistic approach to mediating the elementals into harmony is against what the true natural state of things should be. He travels one end of Kalimdor to the other, the only two locations he is known to have visited are some pit in southern Darkshore and the south-western deserts of Silithus.=Year 20 Corruption Begins Anew=
The arrival of the Orcs to Kalimdor brings a new sense of paranoia for the Apophan, deep in his Stonetalon Caverns – as the shamanistic newcomers share a view very unlike his. However, the Orcish Horde also has quite a few who share his views that conflict is a necessary and essential part of life. He studies the laws and customs of every culture the Horde is aware of- including the elusive “Alliance”.
He follows the fringes of the Horde to Hyjal and observes the carnage. He takes away two lessons: The Horde and Alliance are more natural when they are at war than joined together; and the Horde and Alliance are extremely powerful when combined. The Apophan would need an equally powerful faction to ally with. No sightings of the Apophan occur for four years.=Year 24 The Twilight Elementalist=
The Apophan re-emerges, with strong ties to the Twilight's Hammer Cult and imprinted with authority within the organization. He spreads chaos and madness wherever he roams. Sometime in the previous four years he partnered with a troll woman of unknown name or origin. The exact nature of their relationship is unknown. During this time, many fall prey to the Twilight's Hammer, some of whom follow the Apophan specifically.
The Horde and the Alliance notice sharp upturns in their violence and crime rate. Far Seers and Druids of both factions see individuals behind it – that it is orchestrated, not random. The faction leaders send two agents each to stop the agitators.
The Apophan's troll partner is slain at the foot of the mountain above what would become the Wailing Caverns. Quill, a Druid; Graymoor, a Paladin; Kahzakai, a Shaman; and Strahm, a Warrior corner the Apophan at the peak of the mountain and engage him in battle. Unable to kill him, the four use their combined abilities to trap the dark tauren beneath the mountainside. Afterwards, the four return to their normal lives.
Most of the Apophan's followers also return to normal lives. Some remain in the Twilight's Hammer, others become mercenaries or bounty hunters. Three, however, remain loyal to their dark master and quietly continue his work.=Year 27 Stirrings of Conflict=
The Three Heralds – as they are now known – finally identify and acquire the reagents needed to unleash their master.- Homeplace
