Garreth is in his mid-twenties, stands just shy of 6' tall and has a slim, lean runner's-type build. His hair is reasonably short, dark brown and wavy. His face is clean shaven save for his mutton chops, which he tries to keep meticulously well trimmed. His eyes are a light blue and his smile seems to light up his whole face. His accent sounds like someone trying to sound middle class, but not quite succeeding, and often in stressful (or drunken) situations reverts to being quite common.

History

Garreth is the eldest son born to Robert and Mary Burnham, a lower class family who had worked a small farm holding in Western Gilneas. Garreth has an elder sister, Teresa, a younger brother Charles and another sister (the youngest of the family) Helen.

Robert passed away from sickness when Garreth was just 5 years old and the Burnham's found themselves evicted by an unsympathetic landlord. The Burnham family was forced to relocate to Lordaeron in order to find work.

Mary later met and courted a soldier of Lordaeron named Bertrand who had lost a hand in the war against the Horde. Bertrand quickly insinuated himself into the family, ruling with an ironfist and drinking away much of the family's income while providing little effort.

Garreth and Bertrand often quarreled, resulting in Garreth spending many nights sleeping the rough while hiding from Bertrand's drunken rage. When rumours of troubles in the North and talks of a new sickness led to a fresh recruitment drive by the army, Bertrand was quick to alert recruitment offers to the two able bodied young lads at the Burnham farm.

Charles was taken by surprise when the recruiters came and forced to enlist, but Garreth had been mending a fence on the far side of the farm and his eldest sister Teresa had been able to warn him in time.

Since then Garreth made his way south, away from the trouble, and has often had to resort to petty thievery to make enough money for him to get by. He often tries to send some coin back to his sisters.

Personality

Garreth is a habitual flirt and a bit of a joker. He's more likely to try and diffuse a situation with humour then with tough talk. He likes his drink, but has never been particularly good at holding his liquor. He's also an absolute sucker for any girl with a pretty face.

The worgen curse is not something he deals well with, seeing only the monster he becomes and not the humanity he retains.
