Imogyn
Character Biography
- Physical Appearance
Imogyn gives the impression of having once been quite lovely, and physically powerful. In life she was a well-muscled, well-trained Paladin. In death she is the same, only with a pale, overall hagard/tired look. She was not long dead and thus not long decayed, and rune magic may be keeping her well-preserved, but she still looks like just that: Perserved, not alive, not even close to alive. She has high cheekbones, full lips, and focussed, determined eyes. Her long, black hair alternates between being worn up, and let loose about her shoulders.
Recently taken to wearing a small golden coin on a chain around her neck.
Often seen with a stoic Human Paladin by the name of Marius Haldryn.
She is almost always seen with her pet bird Vera, who is especially dear to her, as she was the first true gift she recieved upon committing a kind act after her freedom.
- History
The eldest daughter of Sir Jameson Adkins, a respected Knight of The Silver Hand, Imogyn had a lot to live up to, especially when it became clear that no sons were forthcoming. Mo grew up in awe of her father though, and being the son he never had was fine with her, at least in the beginning. She was strong in the Light from the start, and anxious to fight the powers of darkness that surrounded her, especially after the fall of her homeland, and her family's move to Theramore.
Of course, during her teenage years, her recklessness and rebellious nature began to come out full-force. She believed in her cause no less, though her resentment over never being allowed to seem weak, to seem feminine, while her younger sisters were allowed to be carefree and nurture feminine habits, festered. It was obvious to everyone except her father, of course, who turned a blind eye to his daughter's drinking, her fondness for casual intimacy, and her increasingly foul temper...as long as she kept being the fierce solider he'd trained, he was happy, while Imogyn was miserable.
Adulthood did temper this somewhat, though old scars run deep, even if the hormones and growth spurts calm down. By 25 Mo was more soldier than functioning human, performing her duties with little thought. Only her sisters and her faithful old hunting dog Scout could inspire any affection from her, though she saw little of her family during the push into Outland. Fighting demons invigorated her, sparking that old reckless fire again, making her feel powerful and alive...which was her downfall, of course. Surrounded by more enemies than she could handle on her own, Mo met her death outside of Honor Hold, right before her father's eyes.
She has little memory of how or when she was raised, though the acts she committed after she was are burned into her brain quite clearly, and need not be spoken of. Her father spotted her in the North once, but could not bring himself to kill her, though he assured his family that he did. Luckily for Mo, her sister Elladora didn't buy it, and went on a rather suicidal mission to locate Mo as soon as the news reached Theramore of Light's Hope. Dora was extremely lucky, finding her sister wandering the Highlands with a greatly addled brain. Still fearing their father's reaction, Dora hid Mo away in the Marshlands, until she had healed, mentally and spiritually.
Contrary to most, Imogyn took her second chance at life as just that. The anger she held for her father seemed trivial in the face of seeking redemption for her deeds, her youth seemingly wasted as well. She became far more pious in undeath, though no less humorous and witty. In fact, she is even livelier now, her humor no longer holding the bite of bitterness. Imogyn treasures her life, and works daily to undo all the damage she caused, both before her enslavement and after.

- Personality
Mo is, pretty much, a dude. She has a great sense of humor about her condition, she's got almost no mental filter, and she'd rather kick the crap out of stuff than cry over life's unfairness. Before her death, Imogyn was a military commander among her people, the laid-back, hearty-drinking, slice-first-ask-questions-later sort. This demeanor remains, despite the alcohol no longer working and her men no longer following her. Don't be fooled, however: Imogyn Adkins was a 2nd Generation Knight of The Silver Hand, raised by a Paladin and Priestess, who died weilding the Light to the last. Her old values may have slacked upon becoming undead, but not terribly so. But aye, Mo's good fun to be around, all in all, though when you throw her into battle, best stand back.
In Armor: She's ready to kill things.
In robes: She's conducting civilized business/socializing.
Pants, Vest, & Sly Hat: She's ballin'.Age: 27, died at 25.
Orientation: Bi in life, Grumpy in undeath. She is very much attached to Marius, though they prefer to keep the nature of their relationship ambiguous, for obvious reasons. If you're not close to her, then you don't know ;)
Overall Demeanor: Sarcastic.
Allignment: Still very much about the Light.
