Character Biography

Physical Appearance

A timeless, subtle beauty overtakes this woman, as she appears to only be in her mid-twenties (she's actually in her early thirties). However, there's a sense of distress and deadliness to her form, especially since she's almost always seen in full Saronite plate. In the event that she takes off her gloves, an engagement ring shines on her left hand.
Her hair, which is a dull black, is cut very erratically, since she's had to tend to it herself. It currently reaches her chin.
Preservative magic keeps her skin rather alive-looking, although the creepy factor to her still remains in her expression: eternally lost, but otherwise blank. Under each of her eyes are identical tattoos of Val'kyr wings.

History

Lilla Mackt was eight when Darrowshire fell to the Scourge. She had been out on a camping trip with some friends and somehow managed to survive long enough (with the help of some fellow refugees) to to make her way to Elwynn Forest where she was reunited with her family.Once she became of age, she took up Warrior training, vowing to exact her vengeance on the things that destroyed her home.
She finally got her chance in a small, nameless war against the Scourge just outside of Andorhal. Unfortunately, her first battle was also her last; heavily outnumbered, her battalion was all but wiped out. But life did not end for her there.

As the newly-risen Death Knight, Kalliban, she wreaked havoc on both Argent Dawn and Scarlet Crusade forces, murdering innocent civilians without even a blink of an eye. She quickly became one of the top pupils in unholy magic, which she chose simply for the irony.

But upon the incident at Light's Hope Chapel, the truth about her purpose in the wars and the realization of her crimes became too much for her to bear, and she took up a role in the Knights of the Ebon Blade with an almost fanatical devotion to Mograine. Her personal vow was to destroy the Lich King and all of his willing followers.
After the Lich King's death, she took to wandering around Outlands and Azeroth, with a tentative anticipation of an engagement to her childhood friend, Kalcron. However, before they could be wed, she seemed to disappear off of the face of Azeroth.

Personality

Kalliban is a soldier, if her appearance doesn't immediately give that away. She's serious (at least most of the time), and ruthless against enemies. It's fairly easy to anger her, but it's rare that she'll resort to violence inside of cities and sanctuaries; she's strangely respectful in that way. She also tends to be dismissive of situations that do not call for her presence. A fiercely loyal Knight of the Ebon Blade, she doesn't immediately hate people that insult her or her kin, but she also believes that the Knights deserve at least a little recognition for their part in the war against the Lich King.
She's also somewhat pensive at times, and often overthinks things. She's also a bit forgetful, and often has trouble discerning difference in time; "this happened yesterday... or was it the day before that?"
