Character Biography

Physical Appearance

Khaavren is unusually tall for his people, and is robustly healthy looking. He has long auburn hair that he wears in a single complex braid when he expects a battle, and wears it loose for more formal occasions. His right wrist and forearm bear the scars of a serious burn, the pattern suggesting a liquid that splashed onto his skin.

History

Khaavren was not raised by the people who birthed him. Hidden in secret from a particularly ugly political skirmish, Khaavren was meant to live as a simple farmer and bee-keeper until it was safe - or advantageous - to make his existence known.

That day never came.

Khaavren and his guardians fled to Ssilvermoon when Arthas' armies came. Khaavren's uncle died on the walls as part of the defense, his aunt drowned herself immediately afterward in grief. Khaavren took to rounding up surviving children, banding them together and keeping them safe until he could get them to one of the various orphanages set up for their care. After exhausting himself finding (and rescuing) as many children as he could, Khaavren consented to joining the orphanage himself.

He was recruited into the Blood Knights as part of that organization's early aggressive recruiting drives. He had visions of an elven version of the Silver Hand. The reality was disappointing enough that Khaavren distanced himself quietly, and sought to make peace with the truth of where that power actually came from. Further disillusion with the truth of Kael'thas Sunstrider's activites in outland drove him to work for the former Ranger-General in Undercity as a diplomatic courier. When his company was disbanded two years ago, Khaavren retired to Nagrand, expecting his beloved to follow as soon as one final mission was complete.

Last month, after completing construction of the house they'd talked about for years, Khaavren returned to Azeroth in search of Oriseus Lastdawn.
