Character Biography

Physical Appearance

At first glance, Rosalinde (or Rosa, as she insistantly reminds everyone to address her by) is hardly a remarkable individual. This is likely due to the fact that, despite wielding the blessed power of the Light as a Paladin and possessing the strength to swing a massive hammer about with ease, her immediate appearance suggests anything but. Rather than strut about in shining combat armor, she finds far greater comfort and practicality in adorning shirt-and-pants attire when off the battlefield. She blatantly refuses to wear robes unless absolutely necessary, carrying herself with a solid, deliberate gait that not only proclaims "I'M NO LADY", but also does not clash well with a stray hem. She's almost never seen without a simple battlehammer strapped to her back, crafted by her own smithing hand. She claims it to be for "just in case".

By physical standards, she's neither petite nor bulky, though should one find themselves on her less favorable side, they'll have the misfortune of bearing witness to the exceptional strength lying in her arms thanks to years of blacksmithing experience. Just settling into adulthood, she sports a mane of healthy rubicund hair that descends in thick waves and stops just short of her somewhat-ample bust. Eyes the color of seafoam take in her surroundings with an attentive gaze, her skin fair and bearing minimal scarring, save for her hands, her palms calloused and rough to the touch; such is the price paid for handling heavy weapons for a living. Her figure itself is by no means exceedingly voluptuous, but still possesses plenty of curves to please the eye.

History

Rosa spent her childhood growing up in a simple farming community with her parents in Westfall, where she latched onto her father's blacksmithing legacy since she was old enough to walk. But tragically, her parents were slain by members of the rogue Defias Brotherhood, while Rosa herself, age sixteen at the time, was knocked out after discovering the grisly scene. When she woke up, she was in the Stormwind infirmary, her savior unknown to this day. Haunted by the all-too-fresh memories of her parents' murder, she wandered out and eventually found herself in front of the Cathedral of Light. There is where she found her salvation, taking comfort and solace in the Light, and began her training as a Paladin, to protect herself as well as others, and ensure they don't endure the same losses she has.

Personality

Contrary to her relatively well-kempt appearance, Rosa hardly acts the dainty, ladylike role. Initially, she possesses a friendly, if not somewhat reserved nature around those she isn't familiarly acquainted with. This is simply her way of studying and familiarizing herself with a person, before deciding whether they're worth her time or not. In the company of friends and loved ones, however, her true self shines through in the form of a sassy, headstrong young woman with a somewhat sharp tongue. She finds it difficult, if not near-impossible at times to keep her emotions on a leash, her actions very much led by her heart, making her somewhat impulsive in nature. If something doesn't sit right with her, she'll do her damnedest to fix it to the best of her ability. And if the safety or well-being of those important to her come into question, she'll be one of the first to come running to the rescue with her hammer in hand, ready to strike with a fiery vengeance at what- or whoever posed the threat. Her fierce loyalty comes at a price, however; her body and mouth will oftentimes work faster than her brain, causing her to start fights she can't finish.

All in all, she doesn't exactly fit the typical 'mesh' of a modern-Azeroth Paladin. This is exactly what she strives for: to be different from the norm, hating to be lumped in with the stereotypical image that comes with her class.
